How to Begin Your Healing Journey

Are you ready for a life-changing choice? Do you want to let go of the anxiety, overwhelm, and stop feeling like you’re never enough? I’m here to help, and I want to let you know what to expect.

Assessing Your Readiness

Therapy is a commitment. Are you ready to carve out valuable time to see the changes you want in life? Change won’t happen overnight, and it will take work. I’m here to help and want to see you achieve the life and peace I know you can have. But I will ask this of you: look at your schedule and know when you have time or what you may have to sacrifice to make time.

Therapy only works if you do it. So I ask my clients to commit to weekly or bi-weekly sessions for the next three months. If you’re not ready to make this commitment, or if you’re looking for a quick fix, this probably isn’t the place for you, and that’s okay.

But if you’re ready to put in the time, energy, and yes, money, I can promise you faith-based therapy will pay off!

Scheduling Your First Session

Your next step is simple. Send me a text message at 252-210-4508 and say, “Hey, this is … I saw your website and am interested in counseling. I am available… to talk, do any of those times work for you?” Please make sure you include your name and three (3) different times within the next week when you will be available. Hopefully, in the midst of those three, there is a time we can connect. If not, I will text back and offer you three different times I am available. If all six times don’t work, then we will try the following week. You and your time are both valuable to me, and I want to show you respect. I will answer you as soon as I can. However, I do not answer messages during counseling sessions, so please give me at least 24 hours during my work week to respond. Also, please know that I do not work on Mondays, so if you reach out on a Monday, I will not be able to get back to you until Tuesday.

Step 3

Accessing the Therapy Portal

After we have set up a meeting time, I will get some information from you- full name, date of birth, and double-check your cell number. And then I will add you to my HIPAA-compliant billing & note system, where you will use your birthdate to sign in and complete the necessary paperwork before our first session.

We will use that same therapy portal to meet, on video (this keeps both of us a little more attentive). If phone or in-person sessions are something you would prefer, please let me know!

Sessions last approximately an hour. If, for some reason, you are running late, please text me and let me know. A few minutes is not a problem, but I probably have someone after you, so I will still need to end our session on time.

During our first session, we will discuss your struggles/ challenges and your goals as well as where you stand spiritually (what you believe and what that looks like in your life). Also, take a look at my FAQs below to see what else to expect.

During this session, we will also identify a time we can schedule recurring appointments to set you up for the most success!

Are you ready to trade your anxiety for the deepest peace?
